I managed to clear the air with the old fat noisy pervert guy next door a bit.
He put his classical music with drums on really loud when I was trying to do stuff, so I knocked on his door. He looked out of his window, saw it was me and then went back to whatever he does. I knocked louder, eventually he came to the door. I was really polite, just said 'please can you turn it down, I'm trying to work'. He went totally mental at me, shouting stuff that made no sense at all. He said I must not have carpet on the floors as if that was a real insult, maybe it was in his day. He said I had two floors so could go upstairs if it bothered me. What kind of shit is that? He wants me to go to bed? He made a big point of saying he doesn't watch tv, it's videos, as if that makes any difference. Then he said 'I don't know what hours you keep, but I've heard you moving around at 4 in the morning'. I just said 'what' but then he said 'this is a nonsense, goodnight' and slammed the door in my face.
He was quite aggressive but because he made no sense and it was totally uncalled for I wasn't scared. He's just a pathetic loser. I came back inside and of course he turned the music up louder. I thought of putting something loud on and having a childish volume war which I would totally win, don't think he has a bass rig like I have. I decided the best way would be to respond with total silence and that's what I did. He kept the music loud for a long time but eventually turned it down. moral victory to me so far.
But then when I was getting frank in I saw the guy with the dog that frank plays with messing with the guy next doors car. I went over, he was spelling out something on the bonnet with twigs. There were a lot of words but the only one I could make out was 'cunt'. I explained to him that I would get the blame for it and eventually he stopped and brushed the twigs off. Then he followed me back and did loads of stupid dancing shit and gestures at the cctv cameras and explained really loudly to me why he thought the guy next door was 'a cunt'. This was all about three feet outside his window. I didn't encourage him but had to agree with a lot of his points. Think I've lost the moral victory though.
